However, a very heavy wind (40 km\/h or 25 mph following the forecast) didn&rsquo;t allow us to perform our objectives. Hopefully, I stayed just enough regular in my pace to finish in 2h56 after passing the half marathon in 1h27and a fistful of seconds. For Bernard , it&rsquo;s a little more deceiving (3h22), but a bad choice of tyres (shoes too light for him) and probably for a little the sequels of his trail at the &quot;C&ocirc;te d&rsquo;Opale&quot; could not allow him to run well.The good new of the day that&rsquo;s there was Guiness close to the finish. All was not lost!&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;More details in the Firefly in a few days<\/p>\n<p>Philip<\/p>\n<p>Un superbe voyage &agrave; Dublin ce week end dernier<\/p>\n<p>L&rsquo;accueil du Bray Runners Athletic Club a &eacute;t&eacute; pour une bonne part dans la r&eacute;ussite de la course, en d&eacute;pit d&rsquo;un vent &eacute;pouvantable sur un parcours vallonn&eacute;.Les conditions m&eacute;t&eacute;o &eacute;taient pratiquement id&eacute;ales pour un marathon&nbsp;: pas trop froid (entre 9 et 11&deg;C), ensoleill&eacute; la plupart du tenps, l&eacute;g&egrave;rement nuageux. Cependant, un vent tr&egrave;s fort (40 km\/h selon les pr&eacute;visions) ne nous permit pas de r&eacute;aliser nos objectifs .Heureusement, je suis rest&eacute; suffisamment r&eacute;gulier dans mon rythme pour terminer en 2h56 apr&egrave;s un passage au semi marathon en 1h27 et une poign&eacute;e de secondes.<\/p>\n<p>Pour Bernard, c&rsquo;est un peu plus d&eacute;cevant (3h22) mais un mauvais choix de pneumatiques (chaussures trop l&eacute;g&egrave;res pour lui) et probablement pour une petite partie les s&eacute;quelles de son trail de la c&ocirc;te d&rsquo;Opale ne pouvaient lui permettre de bien courir.La bonne nouvelle de la journ&eacute;e est qu&rsquo;il y avait de la Guiness pr&egrave;s de l&rsquo;arriv&eacute;e!
